    "I take gyrotonic private lessons once a week and they are a fun, challenging way of working out. I love working on the various pieces of equipment. The variety makes it so the hour flies by and I never get bored. It's a great low-impact workout yet I do sweat and feel stronger yet lighter and balanced after the workout is complete. I have a strong background in various forms of dance and gymnastics and love how the various combinations feel like choreography when I work on them to the relaxing music that is played during the session. Gyrotonic is like a moving massage. Also, if you make gyrotonic a regular part of your exercise routine, the ways of working out on the equipment can evolve so you can continue to challenge yourself. Shirley makes sure that each session is different and if you have certain areas of your body that you want to focus on that day, she makes sure to work on those areas.
